About CLARIFI

CLARIFI's mission is to raise public and private funds to strategically extend flexible resources directly to organizations led by Indigenous Peoples, Afro-descendant Peoples, and local communities to advance their approaches and priorities for land rights, conservation, climate change adaptation, and sustainable management of their territories. To advance this mission, we invite Indigenous Peoples', Afro-descendant Peoples', local communities – along with their allies and collaborators – to pitch innovative project ideas in keeping with our mission and the thematic priorities below.

Submit a Concept Note

CLARIFI is an innovative funding mechanism established by CLARIFI represents the next generation of an Indigenous-led global movement to halt biodiversity loss and combat climate change—and champion and secure the rights of 1.8 billion Indigenous, Afro-descendant, and local community members across the world. Launched in 2022 by Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI) and Campaign for Nature (CfN), CLARIFI builds on the RRI coalition's 20 years of experience in grantmaking, support, and achievement when it comes to protecting rights and CfN's global advocacy for a rights-based approach to conservation.

Our concept note template is intended to be user-friendly, quick, and flexible to limit the amount of time and effort required to make a pitch and receive feedback from CLARIFI on your project concept.
